As a privilege to all active Students, Faculty & Staff members, UConn Stamford offers free and continuous shuttle bus service.

Student Groups

Bus advertisements submitted by student groups will be reviewed by Student Activities for approval. Bus advertising requests should be submitted using the Bus Advertising Request Form.

Departments that are interested in advertising events and services, can submit a request using the Bus Advertising Request Form.

Non-Affiliated Groups

Advertising space is available to community members through UConn Transportation. Advertising slots can be reserved on a full-semester (16-weeks) or half-semester (8-weeks) basis. Price varies based on length of post.

Charter Request

The UConn shuttle bus is available UConn Stamford organizations and departments. Please submit the Bus Charter Request Form at least two weeks prior to the trip date. These requests will be reviewed for consideration based on shuttle and driver availability. Once a request is received, we will contact you to confirm the details of your trip.

UConn ID & Guest Passes

UConn ID

All riders, including faculty and staff, will show a valid UConn ID or Guest Pass to the bus driver. Members of the UConn community are required to obtain a UConn ID within the first two weeks of the semester. UConn IDs can be obtained from the Bursar’s Office in room 2.02.

Guest Passes

Guests of the University can ride the shuttle bus if they possess a Guest Pass or an invitational document from their host department. Departments will need to request a Guest Pass from the
Welcome Center (room 1.00) for their guest at least one week in advance of their anticipated arrival. Give the Guest Pass to the bus driver after its last use. Passes can be issued to permanent contractor employees to the campus on a provisional basis.

The shuttle bus make four stops:

  • Stamford Downtown Campus, on the corner of Franklin St. and Broad St.
  • Stamford Residential Hall Outbound
  • Stamford Residential Hall Inbound
  • Stamford Transportation Center, Bay A

Schedule

The shuttle operated during the regular academic year. Hours of service are:

Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (last departure from campus is at 10:15 p.m.)
