Work Study Student Employment
Work Study is available to students that have been awarded Work Study through their FAFSA
(Financial Aid) application. Work Study is awarded to students for the entire academic year and
the total amount awarded is split between the Fall and Spring semesters. Work Study students
can only work during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Work Study Student Employment Fall 2022/Spring 2023 Important Dates

  • Work-Study begins on August 26, 2022.
  • Students must accept (online) their Work Study awards by August 1, 2022.
  • Students have until the September 16th deadline to secure a job at UConn Stamford.
  • UConn Stamford Departments will have until September 23rd to process Work Study student
    hires in CORE-CT.
  • If students have a problem with their Work Study award or need further information, please

Student Labor Student Employment

Student Labor Student Employment is available to students who have not been awarded Work
Study. Student Labor students can work year-round, including Fall/Spring Semesters and
Winter/Summer Intersessions.

UConn Stamford Student Employment Pre-Employment Paperwork (I-9, Tax and Direct Deposit
Forms) is processed on campus with Kelly Ann Schneider at kelly_ann.schneider@uconn.edu
Student Employment start dates are contingent upon the successful submission of the I-9 Form.

Student Employment Payroll Directions

Student Employment work hours must be entered into the UConn CORE-CT Payroll system and paychecks are distributed on a bi-weekly Payroll Schedule.
